Mike Dow, Executive Director

Mike has spent 25+ years leading businesses across the globe, in roles running the gamut from management consultant to CEO, and in locations from Northern Michigan and Washington DC to Saudi Arabia. His work and companies have been featured in several publications, including Fortune Magazine and his company's recognition in Washingtonian Magazine as one of the area's Great Places to Work. He's spent the last several years working with several ABA providers, to include being a founding member, President, and Executive Director of the Michigan Behavior Analysis Providers Association (MiBAP), a non-profit established to promote access to the science of ABA in the state of Michigan.

In his spare time, Mike is an author. His science fiction trilogy, Dark Matters, rose to #1 in Amazon e-book sales in April 2016, soon after its release. He also enjoys golf, travel, and his ongoing efforts to do better than his wife at fishing. Mike grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia, earning his undergraduate degree at the University of Virginia Engineering School, followed by the Harvard Business School General Manager Program. He currently lives in Traverse City, Michigan, with his wife and two daughters.

Colleen Unterbrink, Director of Human Resources

Originally from metro Detroit, Colleen spent much of her childhood and college years in Northern Michigan and eventually made the region her home after graduating from Michigan State University. Her career in human resources has taken her across seven states—including two decades in Northern Nevada—but she is thrilled to be back in Northern Michigan.

Colleen brings over 15 years of HR experience across both public and private sectors, with expertise in recruitment, onboarding, employee development, employee relations, labor compliance, policy development, and leading organization-wide training initiatives. Outside of work, she can almost always be found outdoors, no matter the season—winter is her favorite. She enjoys skiing, hiking, cooking, and spending time with her family and her yellow lab, Henry.

Macrina Cipa, Director of Client Services

Originally from Washington, Michigan, Macrina relocated to Traverse City after graduating from Michigan State University. She began her career in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in 2012 as a Registered Behavior Technician, gaining firsthand clinical experience supporting children and families. Combining her passion for business development, community outreach, and client services, Macrina has held a variety of leadership roles within the ABA field, including overseeing client admissions and managing outreach initiatives.

As Director of Client Services, she draws on her diverse background to strengthen North Arrow ABA’s presence across Michigan while helping expand access to high-quality care for children and families. Outside of work, Macrina enjoys paddleboarding, hiking, golfing, chasing sunsets, and spending time at the beach.

Jo Hency, Director of Administration

Jo entered the ABA field in 2015, and has since built strong relationships with our community providers and families, contributing an abundance of expertise in billing, compliance, and general healthcare and mental health administration. She earned her Administration Specialist including Billing and Coding certification in 2013 from Performance Training Institute then went on to obtain a Professional Compliance Officer certification from AAPC in 2019. In her free time, Jo enjoys journaling and crocheting, along with spending time with her friends and family.

Tim Mucha, Controller

Tim brings nearly 15 years of experience, chiefly in acute and post-acute healthcare administration, with a focus on contracting, compliance, FP&A, and strategic planning. Passionate about making the world around him a better place, he was drawn to healthcare leadership as a way to leave a meaningful impact. Tim holds a master’s degree in Health Administration and was first exposed to ABA during his undergraduate studies, where he worked in two different ABA labs. He enjoys using data to guide decisions and support positive outcomes. Outside of work, Tim is happiest spending time with his dog, Finn. He also loves hockey, searching for new music, yoga, cooking, reading, and exploring all the forests and tall snowy mountains of the world.
